questions & answers
How does muscle testing work? Our bodies act as one whole integrated communication system, every part down to the smallest atom continually receives and relays information, this interaction is going on all the time whether we are aware of it or not; our senses tell us about our external environment, what we see, hear and feel for instance and wounds heal and our hearts continue to beat without having to consciously think about it. All these messages and reactions are registered and stored in the body and the subconscious. The energy field that flows around and within our bodies is also part of this communication system and reacts to the internal and external messages it receives. The flow of energy will become stronger if you say or think something that resonates as true with the subconscious mind, and similarly, will weaken if you say or think something that resonates as false with the subconscious mind. This energy change is mirrored in the muscles and it is this strengthening and weakening of the tested muscle which allows a kinesiologist to tap into the body’s unique communication system.

What is Creative Kinesiology? Creative Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a tracking tool for the client and therapist to become detectives, uncovering clues and piecing together the client’s ‘story’. Creative kinesiology encompasses Perceptual Bodywork and The Way of the Tracker.
What is The Way of the Tracker? A system of Kinesiology that ‘tracks’ the story behind the issue, whatever it is, such as aches and pains, illness, relationship problems, despair or an inability to move on. It explores the meaning behind the issues or symptoms. What has caused the problem? Why has it originated and where is it affecting the body's systems? Once the cause of the problem is found it offers a combination of gentle techniques to enable the system to heal and promote more effective functioning.
What is Perceptual Bodywork? Perceptual Bodywork or body tracking is a link between kinesiology and healing. PB uses techniques from Applied Kinesiology that blend ancient traditions of Chinese energy medicine and modern Chiropractic with its knowledge of muscles, bones and joints. PB also takes us into the realms of healing - both the self-healing mechanisms that are natural in the body and healing methods suitable for use in kinesiology.
What healing techniques are used? These may include: hands on work with the body, working with the energy field the meridians, the aura and chakras, using flower essences, crystals, cards, colour or sound and exploring issues through talking, or using other therapies: Reflexology or Reiki.
What happens at a session? After exploring the issues you would most like help with you lie on a treatment couch fully clothed. Gentle pressure, usually on the forearm, is used to test for a positive and negative muscle response, this muscle change gives clear messages to both client and therapist and is used as a tool to explore what is happening for the client. Muscle-testing enables the client to be totally in charge at all times. All information comes from the body and all treatments are determined via muscle-testing.
How long does a session take and how much does it cost? Allow up to 2 hours for the initial consultation and up to 1 1/2 hours for subsequent sessions. Each session is £43.
How many sessions will I need? Kinesiology works by accessing the body's own innate knowledge of itself and what it needs, which is unique to each of us, and so it is difficult to predict how many sessions you would need. It isn't unusual to need just one session though a very general guideline is 3 sessions are needed to create change.
What is Life Tracking? Life Tracking is usually presented as a series of five sets of two-day workshops that offer an opportunity to learn about the world of subtle energy and to undertake a personal journey of growth and self development in a group setting. This will help you identify and work with issues and obstacles that hold you back, clearing the way and setting you on your path in life.
